DisplayMate calls the S9’s absolute color accuracy “virtually indistinguishable from perfect,” earning it the highest-ever A+ grade.

Wish I could get the Samsung hardware with vanilla Android tbh (and no dedicated Bixby button ofc).

Let’s all remember one thing is panel quality and a different thing is factory calibration.

You can source the best Samsung panel on the planet but you need to calibrate EACH one of them separately.

Many companies are not willing to spend that extra money and will accept the colour variance.

Samsung, Apple and Google are examples of companies which do spend the extra money.

Eh. That used to be me but after a year with an S8 honestly, I don’t care. It’s a good enough software and actually adds a lot of little features that makes the experience richer. And nowadays, most of these features can be turned off if you don’t care about them.

I don’t see the appeal of AOSP Android as much as I used to.

IMO, unless you really need stock software from the pixel, Samsung makes the best phones in the world and you can’t go wrong with one. The Pixel 2 has the best camera of any phone, but Samsung is not that far behind.
